So I sat down to feed Talan some baby food. I had 2 jars open. I could only get him to eat about 1/2 of each jar. I walked away to go do something else while he just sat in his chair. When I came back this is what I saw. Reagan was just about finished feeding Talan BOTH jars of food. How is it that she can get him to eat when I can't? She has done this one time before. She is such a good little mother hen! Reagan loves to help out with Talan whenever she can. I am so happy to have her!

Sun Devil Cousins!
Today is Labor Day and it's freezing cold outside! Instead of BBQ's and Picnics we are staying at home wanting to curl up, tap a nap and have some hot cocoa. The kids have been having fun outside playing in the cold! A little cold weather never hurt a kid!
Staci and I came home from the grocery store to find
Jack and Carsten
wearing matching ASU sweatshirts out playing in the rain!
Saturday: BYU Football!
BYU Football has begun!
On Saturday we went to the season opener against Northern Iowa. We won 41-17! Oh yeah, this is Staci and I with our new hair dos too. My hair was straight for the weekend but today it's curly again!
This is the view from 2 of our seats. When we got to the game our seats had come unbolted from the concrete. We had to find someone to come screw it back in. Weird huh? I really like these seats. I think they are perfect! They are close to the field, close to the cheerleaders, and on the isle straight through the tunnel. They are easy to get to, close to all the food venders and bathrooms. We buy our tickets from David's cousin Janice. Thank you Janice!
David and Reagan sat in our other seats. They are a row closer but further to the West. I don't like them as much because they are a little harder to get to. People are all squished in all around you and I guess that I just have personal space issues.
The game was a lot of fun! We all got BYU souvenirs so now we can be the ultimate fans!
Go Cougars!
Robin Hood!
We took Jack Jack to Humphrey's Archery to shoot. He used Reagan's bow. He did pretty good for his first time! He could fling an arrow pretty far. I think that he had a good time, at least it seemed like he was enjoying himself. I told him that he was just like Robin Hood and that he should go home and tell him mom and dad that he shot like Robin Hood. He told me that he would and then asked me,
"Who's Robin Hood?"
Friday: Hair!
Salon Signatures
Staci and I both decided that it would be fun to get our hair done. I have been wanting to do something with mine for a while now and Staci tends to be impulsive and always ready for a change so it worked out great!
We took Reagan and Jack over to our cousin Heidi's house and we took the babies with us. Staci gave Abraham some licorice to keep him happy. I think that he enjoyed it! What do you think?
Staci got her hair cut short, and I got highlights.
I think that we both turned out pretty cute!
Thursday: Farm Country!
We went to Thanksgiving Point and visited the farm. Reagan wore her new pink cowgirl hat! She was thrilled to be able to wear it! First thing we did was check out the new chicks. Staci said "Jack and Reagan, look over here so that we can take your picture." Jack immediately put his little arm around Reagan for the picture. Isn't that just adorable?
We fed the horses. Well, Staci and I did! The kids weren't too into it!
But they did like getting the food out of the little feed machine!
Jack and Reagan rode the horses!
They both wanted to ride the BIG ONE!
Then Reagan wanted to ride the one with the purple strap. I hadn't even noticed that they had different color straps!
We hung out under the shade of a tree for a while. Talan and Abraham had fun crawling around finding things on the ground to put into their mouths.
And here we are..... SISTERS!
Reagan took this picture. Pretty good huh? Totally centered and everything!
While we were hanging out Talan made his way to the stroller and pulled himself up to standing on his feet! Way to go Talan! Watching his advanced cousin Abraham is speeding this learning process thing right along for Talan. He was very proud of himself!
And last but not least, Staci and I have titled this picture..... JACK ASS!
Oh my gosh, we are funny! Someday I'm sure that Jack wont find this to be funny at all! Sorry Jack! But that Jack, he's a cuttie!

Wednesday: Build a Bear Adventures!
We took Jack and Reagan to Build a Bear!
Staci and I had never taken our kids to Build a Bear. However both of us had always dreamed of going there some day! (Well at least I had!)
Jack picked out a T- Rex and Reagan picked out a Pink Leopard. They were both very quick in making a decision. It was oh so cute! The got to step on the peddle that made to machine pump stuffing into their animal. They got to decide just how much stuffing they wanted. They even gave them a test squeeze to make sure they felt just right. Jack decided that his needed more stuffing and Reagan decided that hers was too full. They both picked out sounds to go into their animals. Jack picked out a BIG ROAR and Reagan picked out a little meow. They got to pick out a heart, give it a kiss and put it inside. Then the worker sewed them up. This is a picture of Jack and Reagan giving their animals their first bath.
Then they got to dress them!
Jack quickly picked out the cute little missionary outfit with the Book of Mormon. Too cute! Only in Utah are you going to find a Book of Mormon at a Build a Bear!
Reagan quickly picked out an outfit that was a bit pricey. (That's my girl!) I showed her a different outfit and she liked that one too. I showed her another outfit and she liked that one as well. Pretty soon I realized that she liked all the outfits and wasn't too picky. Staci then found the perfect outfit for her little Pink Leopard Diva. It was a rock star outfit! Reagan's eyes lit up and we knew that that was the outfit!
So we walked out of there with a missionary and a Rock star... the perfect combination!
Tuesday: Hawaiian Luau!
Staci's flight was delayed and so when she finally got here I had a sitter ready and we were off just a few minuets later to my good friend Keri's 30th birthday party!
It was a Hawaiian luau! Keri had tons of friends, good food, adorable decorations and fabulous entertainment at the party! It was a lot of fun! This is a picture of the fire dancer. I forgot to bring a camera but Staci snapped this picture with her camera phone.

Staci is coming!
My little sister Staci is coming to visit today!
She is coming with her two little boys, Jack and Abraham. They will be here for a whole week! We are all so excited! I've been trying to think of fun things we can do while she is here. Jack is Reagan's age and Abraham is Talan's age and so during the week while the kids are in school we need to party! If you have any ideas or suggestions please post them. Reagan just walked in and I asked her if she had anything to say about Jack and Abraham that I could post. She said, "That I love them!" Cute! I think that they are going to love hanging out with their cousins. This morning before school Bradon was asking what time they will get here. Ethan told Bradon that Jack was like Reagan's age. Bradon said, "So, he's fun!" Anyways, it should be fun! I'll post pictures of all the fun things we decide to do.

Bow Hunting!
David just got back from bow hunting with his brother Kendall and nephew Chad.
They hunted in Monroe, Utah. David didn't kill anything but he had a real good time and came home with lots of stories to tell!
Kendall has quite the hunting/camping set up. David said that they lived like kings! This is a picture of David up in the tree stand. He spend several hours in that thing!
I have mixed feelings about the whole hunting thing.
*Part of me hopes that David kills something on day 1 so that he can come back home and be done for the year. (It's though taking care of 5 kids all by myself especially the first week of a new school year!)
*Part of me hopes that he doesn't kill anything up until right before it's time to come home. This way he has a good time hunting/bonding with the outside man world.
*Part of me hopes that he doesn't kill anything at all because I don't really want any part of the meat/dead animal thing!
*But then the other part of me hopes that he kills something so that he can say that he did it and he have that experience and satisfaction of killing something!
Overall I am glad that David enjoys hunting. It gives him something to look forward to. I'm also glad that hunting is something he can do with his brother. What an awesome way to become closer and gain lasting memories!
Way to go David, I'm proud of you!
Kill or no kill, I still love you!
