David and Carsten's 3rd grade team made it to the Championship game with an undefeated record being THE #1 TEAM TO BEAT!
They put up a good fight but in the end they lost 6-7.It was a heart breaker!
Us Adair's haveyet to take 1st place!
I thought that this was going to be our year to break the Adair Curse. In football our boys have gone to the Championship game 5 times now. All 5 times have ended with 2nd place! Even in Baseball last year... we had an undefeated season, losing the Championship game giving us... 2nd place! Our boys are beginning to believe that they are the reason... It's the Adair Curse!
But in all actuality, our boys are FAR from the reason!Carsten had a great season and a great game. And lucky for us he didn't seem to be too affected by the loss. He's such a good sport and YES... There is always next year!
This team had an AWESOME season! They worked hard, they played hard, and they left it all on the field! Way to go Cavemen!
Immediately following the game we all went to Velocity for a team football party. David gave each of the boys award certificates, the team mom put together cute pictures for each of the boys, and my friend Jen Winder made the cutest personalized football cookies for everyone!
And then each of the coaches received a few goodies themselves along with a RED football signed by each of the players!
