We started off our long weekend going to Park City. Well everyone but Ethan. He started off his weekend going on his first ever scout camp out. He had a blast! He was the only scout patient enough to catch a fish. He caught a pretty nice size catfish. He was so excited to tell us all about it! Luckily the leaders prepared the fish so that all we had to do is marinate it and cook it up. We ate it for dinner on Memorial day. I think that Ethan was pretty proud of himself for providing us with dinner. We were pretty proud of him too!
So while Ethan was off camping we all stayed at the Landmark Inn. We went to the outlet mall, the kids did lots of swimming and then after David went back to get Ethan, we all went to the movies to see Night at the Museum. We had a lot of fun!
On Memorial day we went to the Highland City Cemetery to visit Gracie's grave.
Talan decided to climb all over her headstone.
We bought some cute little flowers and an anchor to anchor them to the ground.
After visiting Gracie's grave we walked around to find a few others.
We found Brother Robbins.
He was our neighbor who passed away just before Thanksgiving this last year.
And we found Shari Iverson's dad, Jay Gamette.
It was nice doing the memorial thing. We have never visited a cemetery on memorial day before. There were so many people there and beautiful flowers too. I think from now on we will make this part of our family tradition.

You guys are so sweet to have visited Gracie's grave and to leave her flowers!! They were very beautiful and anchored quite nicely!
What a great Mom you are! So important to help kids understand the meanings behind these days we celebrate and help them understand death in the overall eternal perspective of things.
Such a great tradition to have. We don't have any family burried here in Washington but I'll need to think of something for next year.
