Playing catch.

On Monday night we all went out to the back yard as David finished up the mowing.  He let the kids take turns driving the lawn mower and then the little motorcycle.  It was a lot of fun sitting back watching the kids play!  Pretty soon Bradon was playing football with David and some of the neighbor kids, Carsten and Reagan were playing kickball, Talan was crawling around putting things in his mouth and Ethan came over and asked me if I wanted to play catch with him.  Play catch?  With a football?  Ethan?  Me? YES, I would LOVE to!  Now this might not seem like a big deal to any of you but to me this was wonderful!  We played catch and Ethan enjoyed it!  He was actually pretty good at it!  He had some real good spirals.  His eyes lit up every time he made a good throw or catch.  After playing catch for quite some time it began to get dark and we told the kids it was time to go in for Family Home Evening.  Ethan asked, "Can't we just throw for a little longer?"  I'm proud of Ethan!  Broadening his horizons, trying new things and actually liking it!  Way to go kid!
